S1 Roof Lantern

Why choose the S1 Lantern

  • No tie bars so nothing blocks the view
  • Slim 50mm profiles give you more glass and less frame
  • Low profile design so it doesn't look bulky on the roof
  • Stronger thermal system than standard lanterns
  • Security is built into the design, not added on
  • Designed to go in cleaner with fewer issues on site

Clean, low-profile ridge design

The ridge sits lower and closer to the glass, so you don't get the bulky look you see on a lot of lanterns.

Slim 50mm bars run consistently across the whole roof, keeping the lines sharp and clean from every angle.

It's not just about looks either. The ridge is designed to fully seal the glazing, helping prevent water tracking and keeping everything tight long term.

Thermal performance built in

The whole system is built around Sheerline's Thermlock design, so the insulation runs through the eaves, ridge and rafters rather than just one part of the roof.

Paired with 28mm glazing, it holds heat better than older lantern systems and helps reduce cold spots and draughts.

It's designed to perform properly in real conditions, not just tick a box on paper.

Stronger corners that actually line up properly

The S1 uses a patented corner joint that keeps everything aligned properly, rather than relying on adjustment during installation.

It adds real strength at the corners, helping the whole structure stay rigid even on larger spans.

The result is a cleaner finish, with no awkward angles or misaligned sections that you often see on other lantern systems.

Designed to go together properly on site

The S1 uses unique hook brackets to hold the rafters in place as you build it, so you're not fighting to keep everything aligned during installation.

Components are pre-engineered to fit consistently, which cuts down on adjustment and helps avoid the usual issues you get with traditional lanterns.

With fewer parts and a more thought-through system, installs are quicker, cleaner and far more repeatable.

Optional built-in ventilation

SheerVent sits flush within the lantern, so you get airflow without affecting the clean look.

Electric operation comes as standard, with optional sensors for rain, wind and light.

Designed to work as part of the system, not something added on after.
